Corals grew out of the developer’s earlier TOP / PKO project. It keeps the affection for Tales of Pirates and Pirate King Online, while rebuilding the experience for the browser. The ambition is a world with its own identity, not an official continuation of the original games.

A few things worth knowing.
Is Corals the official Tales of Pirates?
No. Corals is an independent project inspired by Tales of Pirates and Pirate King Online. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or an official release from their original publishers.
Is this the original game running in a browser?
Corals reworks the earlier TOP / PKO project for a modern browser engine. It has familiar roots, but its development, features and new lore belong to this independent project. Do not expect an identical recreation of every original system.
Can I use my old Tales of Pirates account?
You need a Corals account to play online. Your account and characters from the original games do not transfer to Corals.
Is Corals free, and do I need a download?
The open alpha is free to play in your web browser. You do not need to download a separate game client.
Where can I learn about the game?
The Corals wiki contains guides and game information. Features evolve during the alpha: check the wiki and in-game experience for the current state.
